Built with respect for the land, Savannah River Lodge is not just a place to stay, but a place to be. We have adhered to a strict eco-architectural philosophy, using local river stone, reclaimed wood, and traditional grass thatch to ensure our footprint is light and our aesthetic is authentic.


Here, the only schedule you need to keep is the rising and setting of the sun, and the leisurely flow of the Nile passing by your doorstep. The design blurs the lines between indoors and outdoors, inviting the gentle breeze and the sounds of the wild into your sanctuary.

Our main lodge is the beating heart of the community. It is a space designed for connection—with nature, with fellow travelers, and with yourself. Relax in the open-air lounge with a book from our curated library, or simply watch the elephants drink from the opposite bank.


The infinity pool seems to drop directly into the Nile, offering a safe and refreshing vantage point to observe the hippos below.
